Today, We gonna Introduce you with blogger Bob Burg. He is a speaker, author, and blogger as well. Currently, he is owning burg.com. Let’s know more about him in this interview.
1. Please tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
As a speaker and author on topics including influence, sales, personal development, and success (all of which are related) the blog tends to be a mix of those areas. Generally about 400 – 500 words in length they are designed to make an overall point about a specific issue, while also providing steps and solutions that are immediately applicable for the reader.
2. What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
Aside from producing what I hope is quality, helpful content that readers will both enjoy and benefit from (which is ONLY the first step. Without that you won’t have sustainable traffic but quality, helpful content without promotion will usually only take one so far, as well) it’s also a matter of promoting the blog itself. This we do through social media posts, emails, and through speaking at events and media appearances. Also, when an event takes place that is receiving lots of news coverage, if you’re able to write a post that can share an opinion, teaching, or lesson around that, that’s also likely to drive more people than usual. In terms of overall traffic, while there may be some “magic bullets” I haven’t found any. Instead, it seems that through steady, consistent writing and promotion that will continue to draw people.
3. Please tell us some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
Having material to share is obviously an important part of being able to blog. Still, being able to communicate it in a way that people can relate, enjoy, and from which they can benefit is just as important.
4. How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers?
Because I now also broadcast through video live events as well as an audio podcast, publishing a blog post is now only done once per month. But in terms of communicating with readers, that remains ongoing. Many of my blog post readers also tap into the other media and thus an ongoing conversation is constantly taking place.
5. Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?
Randy Gage, Jesse Lyn Stoner, Dan Rockwell, etc. Anthony Iannarino (and so many others). They all consistently provide life-enhancing information to their readers; all in their own unique, individual styles.
6. How much time do you spend blogging?
Between forming the idea, writing the post, rewriting, rewriting, rewriting 🙂 and then the final editing process, each post takes me a few hours to write.
7. A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
Blogging is not something I’ve monetized directly. However, it has led to corporate speaking, book sales, and requests to appear as a guest on numerous podcasts.
8. What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?
The privilege of communicating with my readers is absolutely gratifying to me in and of itself.
